We’ve been so busy moving into our new office and getting 2015 under way that we haven’t written about our lovely staff in a while.
So, meet Martin Powell. Martin is part of the development team here at Brandworkz. He’s a back end developer, so he helps write the code for the software – essentially he makes Brandworkz the fantastic and easy-to-use product that it is. I’m sure it’s more complicated than that, but without our developers like Martin there wouldn’t be any Brandworkz. Martin is a Java and Coldfusion developer. And his current projects on Brandworkz digital asset management software include ‘Zipper’ and ‘Asset Alerting’ and ‘CMIS’. We’ll be able to let you know what these are once Martin has finished building them!
Martin is from Gravesend in Kent but now lives in Wickford, Essex. He’s been there for 20 years with his wife and two children. Besides being a developer Martin organizes the Brandworkz poker nights. I haven’t made it to one yet, but they sound like a laugh and everyone enjoys them. I don’t think Martin has one won yet. He’s got to practice that poker face!
Martin is possibly the nicest person in our office. He is funny, good for a chat and is always willing to make a cup of tea! We love Martin. Besides work, Martin enjoys golf, poker and football, and supports Arsenal and Southend. He also helps manage his son’s U13 football team. Last time I checked in with Martin the team was doing well and his son had scored a goal!
